What DrawPilot can read on YouTube
Works with a public YouTube video or Short, through YouTube’s official API. We’re honest about what each platform does and doesn’t share.
Video comments
Every top-level comment on a public video.
Shorts comments
Comments on your YouTube Shorts.
Keyword rules
Only count comments with your giveaway word.
Comment replies
Choose whether replies count.
Live chat
Draw from people chatting during a live stream.
Likes & subscribers
YouTube doesn’t share who liked a video or who subscribed, so those can’t be checked.

- 2
Fetch comments
DrawPilot pulls the comments with names and profile pictures.

Everything you need to pick the right winner
One entry per person
Duplicate comments from the same account count once — or allow one entry per comment if your rules say so.
Rules you can check
Require a keyword or hashtag, skip replies, and leave out your own account’s comments.
Several winners
Draw as many winners as you need, one at a time — handy for backup winners too.
Fair and saved
Secure random selection, and every winner is saved to your history so you can prove the result.
Running a giveaway right now?
Copy your entries into a spreadsheet, upload it as CSV or Excel, and run the same live draw today.
YouTube giveaway questions
Does the video have to be mine?
It must be public. You should only run giveaways on videos you own or have permission to use.
Can I draw from subscribers or likes?
No — YouTube doesn’t share that information with any app. Ask entrants to comment instead.
Is the winner really random?
Yes. DrawPilot picks the winner with a cryptographically secure random generator before the animation starts, and every eligible entry has the same chance. The 25-second marquee is the show — it never decides the result.
Does DrawPilot use the official YouTube API?
Yes. DrawPilot will only use YouTube’s official API with your permission. It never scrapes pages, never asks for your password, and never posts or replies for you.
What can I use right now?
Every other part of DrawPilot works today: import participants from a CSV or Excel file (for example, comments you copied into a spreadsheet), run the live draw, pick multiple winners and export results.
